While in Madrid, we had the opportunity to attend a wonderful cooking class with Pilar Latorre. Our group, pictured below, had a wonderful time.
We spent three hours building a multi-course meal. Her workshop is located in a beautiful apartment in the heart of the most elegant, avant-garde neighborhood of Madrid. The apartment blends stylish decorations, a warm ambiance, and state-of-the-art appliances and cooking materials. Because we were a large group Pilar and her staff divided us into groups and we each worked on a “course” presenting our results (and methods) to the group.
The classes last about three hours. We received a folder with all the recipes and descriptions. (I am still trying to replicate these at home!). We got to eat – and eat and eat – all the food that we prepared. And we turned about to be pretty good cooks, with Pilar’s support!
